We are 5 short weeks before our cornerstone fundraiser, the 8
th
Annual Rotary Golf Tournament takes place. The goal this year is very high, $20,000, and needs the involvement of Rotarians across the Delmarva Peninsula. This years tournament will be held on May 11
th
at Green Hill Yacht & Country Club. This years event features a double shotgun start with many new fundraising ideas. Proceeds will go to benefit The Wellness Community of Delmarva.
Plans are underway to hold the 2
nd
Annual Salisbury Sunrise Junior Golf Championship on August 1st, 2001. The committee is gathering sponsorships for T-signs, Pin Flags and major sponsors such as Courtesy Chevrolet, SPN Construction Management and Avery Hall Insurance. The proceeds from this tournament go towards awarding 2 $1000 scholarships to a student-athlete in the Tri-county areas of Wicomico, Worchester and Somerset Counties.
For our visiting Rotarians, please take notice of new meeting location. After a wonderful stay at the Ramada Inn for the last few years, we have moved back the the Nutters Crossing Golf Club facilities. Our meeting time is still 7:30am. Please come and visit us if you need a make-up or if you plan on being in town and want some good Rotary fellowship. We look forward to seeing you.
Again, thank you for stopping by.
